My profile makes it pretty obvious that I am not from this earth and represent the pantheon of gods and goddess up above. We dont need newspapers up there, we are always informed thanks to your countless slaves and lesser gods.
But of late, I hear a buzz going around in our heavenly circle, Times of Skin-dia .Everyone is getting crazy about getting a glimpse of the same and boy o’ boy does it have some substance.Specially when you wake up in the morning just to catching young women in action. It took me some time to figure out the reason, of course I had to spend a good amount of time investigating the rise and fall of this toilet paper.
Looking back couple of light- years ago, when news was of paramount importance and commercialism hadnt entered into the earthly lives, the new paper looked like carrying some weight. It was not only a means of making people aware of what is happening around them, it also diligently served a role of social responsibility without getting biased. It made you contemplate, it made you think.
Times have changed, now my wife and kids are no longer interested in reading whats happening around the earth. They are interested in knowing if certain Miss M, S is wearing less clothes than what she did in her earlier movies, if certain Miss P C is dating certain Mr X and their bedroom stories. I wont lie, even I am also attracted at times, leaving the middle east hot spot and the elections and the famines and wars in africa in the back burner and turning to the section that deals with sizzling skinography . But then again, I am not to be blamed, wheres the news?? The 18-20 pages of this paper can roughly be broken up into: -
50% commercial advertisement [None for heavenly use].
20% News.
30% Skinography and Spicy stories.
Light years ago when I was young, newspaper seemed boring, because they didnt have enough for the kids. Now that I am grown up I am pissed off with so much being put up as news , when they are not. Scandals and household dramas are not the page 1 news, they can never be and more and more attention is being focused on page-3, the whos who, who cares, do you??. So the news dies..it gets buried under tons of advertisement ton of nonsense that gets written.
I can understand the modern economics a bit, in order to survive you need to generate revenues. But is that the only parameter of success for a news paper, have they forgotten what they stand up for and that is to bring news that make people think. Is Times Of Skin-dia moving away from its objective of being a news paper to just another gossip magazine.??
Who is to be appreciated or blamed for this. Newspaper / We / Times that we live in.? I know not of. I look at newspaper as a mirror, mirror that reflects the needs, wants, perception , aspirations and thinking of the times that we live in, a.k.a society. What happens around you gets put up in those 18-20 pages, which at times I dont even bother to take a look at. Taking a stance perhaps would be too judgemental.
Its for you folks to decided. I in heaven cannot make a judgement even though I wished I could. My only regret is I have stopped reading ’’The times of Skin-dia’’ it has become more of a stuff that pleases my eyes not the grey cells. Anyone hearing...
