The National gossip & skin show paper of India

I think that lot of readers like me have noticed the gradual deterioration in the quality of’ The Times of India’.

From being a paper which offered a variety of interesting features & articles, it has gradually & steadily reduced itself to one that glorifies gossip & champions skin show & sex explicitly. The paper is full of advertisements & the only motto of the editors is to make money & not to fulfill the ultimate objective of a quality news daily- which is providing wholesome, useful & constructive information, which ushers on the nation a spirit & energy to build the society & the country at large.

The supplements are splashed with scantily clad women. a recent issue though carried three photographs of nude women in the main paper. I wonder how we parents can advise our children to make newspaper reading a daily habit. The editors have also muscled their way into consolidating & strengthening their hold in the Indian newspaper market by resorting to these unethical practises.

Even the news coverage is completely biased & all political & economic views are heavily tilted towards one major political party in India. Perhaps they get paid heavily for this. because for the Times of India, money making is the only objective. Off late, there is no good coverage of civic issues & most of the paper is filled with filth & sleaze. Reading this paper early morning puts an average & well educated Indian completely off. It is the money power of the group which is not allowing other good papers like’The Hindu’ which is arguably the best Indian newspaper of all times & upcoming papers like the DNA, increase their circulation.

What surprises me is that inspite of this filth that is being offered, Times is increasing its circulation. I wonder what moral & ethical values is this paper leaving in the mind of readers.

I am completely disappointed.Paris Hilton is the role model for the Times of India(she is frequently glorified by them). we all know how notorious she is & what slanderous messages she has percolated to the youth of the world.

Finally, all things that go up will have to come down. this is the law of nature, no one can defeat it. This is round the corner for the Times as well, if they do not mend their way soon.
