THE TIMES OF INDIA is one of the oldest and prestigious newspapers of India.
HISTORY-
It was started in 1801 AD, and since then, it has been working very well in its field. Since, it was started in the British Period, so it was very difficult for this newspaper to survive in those days because Britishers banned many newspapers those days. This paper favoured the Brirish Government, it neglected the masses ; and thats why this paper is here.
MERITS-
Today, this paper is probably one of the best newpapers of India. It covers a great deal of info. Moreover, it has now started to print all its pages in COLOUR. Quality of the pages and print is good. Every aspect of life is covered comprehensively. Its suplements like Accent, Matrimonials, Education Times are just great.
DEMERITS-
Well, one of the major demerit of this newspaper is that it contains a LOT of advertisements. I think, it is giving more attention towards ads. Another drawback is that, this paper is only published from Delhi, so If you are living in a small town far away from Delhi, then you will receive its copy one day later. I mean you’ll get all the news one day late.
