ToI reports on Dawood and his tribe makes interesting reading. It is high time TOI mends its own Dawoods -the agents and vendors. I have been subscribing to ToI since 12 September 1988. My subscription was under its Dhamaka offer during the past two years.
The problem with the Dhamaka offer was that the vendor never bothered to deliver on a regular basis and the agent renewed it at his whim. Though I had paid for my subscription till 31 January 2009, the agent asked me to renew it in December 2008. It was immediately or never.
I was surprised by his behaviour; I sought some time. Hence, it became never. In spite of my repeated requests (in Janaury 2009) to TOI office to renew my subscription, it was not renewed. In other words, at times ToI (Times of India) is worse than GoI (Government of India) in its bureaucratic attitude and its agents appear to be worse than the goons in Hindi films.
