To say that the newspaper reports and pictures are in bad taste is an understatement. We advise our kids to read newspapers to enrich their knowledge. When newspapers like TOI are there who needs adult fiction? It’s a shame that no attention is paid at all to consumer reaction. TOI is just not meant for the masses rather to people looking for masala news.
Here are a few instances: - In the Bangalore edition of March 02, 2007 issue President APJ Abdul Kalam is shown in a picture where he fell of near the dais while addressing a gathering. Does that article or picture affect anyone in any way? Above all he is an honorable person what kind of kicks do these guys at TOI are getting out of publishing such articles? In another article the lady is shown scantily clad(read in lingerie) on sports section of the newspaper and trust me nothing related to sports is mentioned in the article.
