Times change. Even with the advent of television and Internet, the importance of media has not declined significantly. In fact, to a large number of people, newspaper helps decide matters. It is this media that moulds the opinion and more specially among those in the formative years of their life. A responsible media is one that projects the reality with objectiveness and not just score brownie points. The Times of India has moved ahead of its competitors in this regard. However, many a times, some of the articles and occasionally editorials appear to be aimed at socring brownie points. Though the views of readers, even if against the editorial/articles, are published; thereafter the views seem to be totlly ignored. This makes one wonder and casts a shadow on the credibility of newspapers. Greatest of greatest numbers is a cardinal principle. This seems to have taken a back seat. Articles of certain individuals are given importance than they deserve while saner articles find a obscure place. These may be justified for justification is what is acceptable to one who holds the reins. It is TIMES that the larger interest of the country assumes more importance. The middle pages of supplementaries are devoted to certain echelon. A daily tip for health in general could make that page more interesting. This tip has to be general in nature and importance may be given to nature therapy. Meditation and Yoga, to which India contributed most, have become popular in the West while being ignored here. This may be considered. Overal, TIMES have changed and the change is itself changing which is the best part of the TIMES OF INDIA.
