The times of India, is suppose to be a daily paper that gives the current affairs. Yes It gives all the very important current affairs in the world like:
1) Jennifer Aniston Lost her Panties and Bra.
2) Paris Hilton bought a new dog.
Are these news important?... What if Jennifer loses her panties and what if Paris buys a new dog? Who cares... there are people striving hard for success... in Bangalore.. Out articles on them.. there are better affairs happening all around the world. Do they get only this news. The Irony is they call them selves the best sellers in Karnataka.
If Sania Mirza wins a series of matches... You can see her on Front page. Absolutely... Much appreciated. But if you read the paper after she loses just one match, their comments on her and the match will be cruel. Its understandable that the head lines help sell the papers more, but not at the cost of somebody’s reputation.
Your food will really taste good if a little of masala is added to it, but it will definitely be horrible if only little bit of food is added to a whole lot of masala. You can’t go on with it for a long time. Your flair for reading will actually change to flair for viewing (the pictures). You could find the best example of their picture collections on the paper on 23rd of August 2005. A picture of a Tennis star taken front when she is sitting on the ground. There could have been 200 pictures taken by them in the match, but do they get only that picture to publish?
Well... if I’ve got to comment the paper like this, what would I tell the users???
