I have been reading Toi since my early teens. I used to look forward to the various articles and blogs included in the paper in the mid section, especially on Sundays. But since I’ve now subscribed for HT to be delivered at home, I’m restricted to reading Toi online.
The decline in the quality of the articles has been shocking. Even if you leave out the poorly written articles, the number of grammatical errors the creep in to the articles is shocking.
I have observed that irrelevant and unrelated articles now have a precedence over actual news reports. I much prefer HT now over Toi.
All is not lost though, there are still a lot of esteemed editors and reporters still attached to the newspaper, I have hopes in them. I can only wish the best for this paper which was once my window to the world.
