Heightened reality or a Faltering Fantasy?

Disclaimer – I hate the Twilight series and if you really like it, I know you’ll be screwing me in the comments . And this is a preview and not a review. Hightime that MS adds a new preview section for the movie section.  Even though I hate it I could not give the movie a negative rating  as it would be ethically wrong to do it. But I still don’t have any high expectations of it as I hated the novel too. Writing a prelude though. Hope you’ll will like it. And I will be changing the ratings once the movie has been released.

If you loved the Breaking Dawn part one you must either be running high on estrogen or you are on your way to become gay. I loved the first movie of the saga- the Twilight and looked forward to the other parts with high anticipation. Sadly the movies (or the novels ) that followed failed to do any justice to the first part.

What to expect in this movie?

Well, Bella finally had sex in Breaking dawn. My thoughts about this movie is as confused as Bella’s thoughts on losing her virginity, so please bear with me. In this movie we would seeing renesmee growing up. I still remain disturbed regarding the concept of Jacob imprinting her. I thought that the movie would have a good and sensible ending and I do want to see Jacob happy (I’m not into Twilight camps though) But marrying your best friend’s daughter isn’t exactly the ending I am hoping for, neither am I hoping for a soap opera style ending.  This movie will also deal with the mystery of Renesmee and shielding her from the threat of the Volturi, an enemy initially so full of literary potential. Bella, Jacob, Edward and the rest of the “Twilight” characters become little more than Renesmee’s anxious protectors.

To sum things up

First thing, Love and blind devotion are separate things. But the movie or the entire saga depicts them as one , which is completely wrong.  My greatest frustration was in seeing the creation of an intricate world  with detailed descriptions orn what could and could not happen and then the characters choose to break those rules. What I’m referring to here is the sudden and explicable ability of a vampire being able to father a child with a rather grotesque description of the childs birth which still gives me the creeps and a humans bizarre transformation into a vampire and then the vampire getting imprinted by an animal of another species? I am a little more than confused here.

A vampire making love to a human is something that many movies have showed, but no one has done it the way Twilight series has. And probably no one has made a mess of a vampire human family? ( correct me if I’m wrong). And, before I go back to the conclusion, a final thought about the absurd vampire science. If I understand correctly, the hocus-pocus with the numbers of chromosomes in the different species is there to establish the validity of the key equation

Werewolf = (Human + Vampire)/2

If Renesmee weren’t a kind of werewolf, Jacob wouldn’t have been able to imprint on her. But did anyone stop to consider that you can rearrange the terms to get

Human = 2*Werewolf - Vampire?

I’ll leave you to ponder the significance of that.
