Hear the chairs creak even in good theatres

Note: Its not suggested to watch this movie with these genre of people - kids, people with coronary ailments, pregnant(and’Just Delivered’ women.

I happened to suddenly chance upon going to this movie on a weekday evening. Believe me, after seeing a streak of movies, I thought well, it now time to watch a horror movie - it had indeed beena long since I watched the classic’The Omen; series on the laptop.

Inox at JP Nagar Central, Bangalore become the chosen venue and what a experience it turned out to be. May be there were 20 people that day for the show. As the movie progressed, I was surprised at what sullen silence really means, as going through some of the scenes there was utter silence in the theatre - on the screen and off the screen, as the camera navigated its way through the plot. I am not going to write about the storyline of the movie as honestly, you would get it from a lot of other websites. However, I should mention that plot that was so well laid out that I could here the chairs squeak, audience turning restlessly either from their seat’s centre or the edge. Nearly 90 minutes of a plot that has its own twists and turns, whistles and howls! This one is sure to be watched on a big screen.

And at the end of it all, the last scene left us very dejected, me and my wife were left with a bit of depression. Over the next few days we were recollecting how and why the movie HAD to end this way. I pondered to see if there was any logic in such an ending to the gripping tale and did some research over the net(all to bring out my wife from that feeling) - well, after all it was a horror’movie’ which we should take it a bit lightly. The rational became clear - did we expect to see a movie which would end with a’They lived Happily ever after’ signage - no - well, if you see what I mean, almost all horror classics have horrific ending note. Well, didn’t I go to see a’horror’ movie and what more did I expect - a horrific beginning and an ending. And history has it that most of the horror movies/classics made have such an ending. I explained this rationale to my wife, could immediately see the strains on my wife’s forehead relax and she accepted it probably thinking’Well, now I know this is why the movie ended this way’!

If its still running at a theater near you, watch it or borrow it from the nearest library and then shall we hear’That was a hell of a cool one!’:-)
