I placed order # 100164277 for Timberland Belt with Private Sales for the first time and they said the stock was available. Later I realised that their delivery tiome was 14 working days ie 3 weeks. I patiently waited for 3 weeks and kept checking intermittantly with them on the status - was always told that the order is’being processed’.
To my shock, when I received my credit card bill, I saw that it has been charged twice - even as the order was placed only once! Such practice is completely unacceptable. How can you have weak backend processes? I even checked’My History’ on the site and it showed that only one order was placed.
After 3 weeks, when I followed up, was told that the order will be despatched next week! When I reasoned, I was told that the shipment that has arrived was defective(ie buyers beware of their overseas merchant delivery standards too!) and was sent back - so it will be delivered next week. My question is - if it took 3 weeks to get the first order, what magic wand will get them replacement in one week?
Nevertheless, I followed up next week and was told that it will be shipped today. You guessed right - it was a false promise. I called them next day - the lines were busy for full day and online chat service wasnt working. I tried next day again and on scalation was connected to one Mr. Mohd - who claimed to be their Customer Service Head - got the same message that it will be shipped on that day. What makes them believe that the customer would now want to buy that statement?
The site is perhaps owned by one Mr. Sunder Gyanchandani - who has absolutely no control over whats happening at the grass root. Maybe he should try placing an order himself and get a taste of his own medicine. The site will never be a customer’s delight. Their service mecahnisms are poor and smell of an attempt to cheat customers.
I would appreciate if anyone can help me filing an online complaint over the site for making false promises and poor delivery mechanisms.
