A Monster ate the show

Well what can I say about this show! It started of with a great concept of patriarchy. In the Shah family male are more superior to females. There are restricted norms and values for women in the house, women have accepted this behaviour and lived with it for the past numerous years. Until Sneha the third daughter in-law enters the family, she doesn’t conform to the norms and values set by Mansukhlal Shah and challenges his claims of being superior to the gentler sex.

It was a family drama with no extra-marital affair, illegimate children, and plastic surgeries. It was a very sensible drama, portraying a positive message to the public.

UNTIL the monster TRP(Television Rating Points) laid its cold hands on the Producer of Thodi Khushi Thodi Ghum. Drastically the story changed it was no longer portraying a positive message, important characters started to disappear with no reason, Mansuklal Shah was abducted, re-entered as his twin brother. Their jokes were no longer funny infact annoying.

Introduction of new characters like Parag didn’t help at all. Every time Parag opens his mouth wide to say one of his crap jokes, I feel like throwing something in to his mouth.  And this Chapter guy from the signal doesn’t even look like a beggar. Seems like he has been very well fed at the signal.

I wouldn’t recommend this show to anyone.
