Unprofessional attitude

We just completed 10 day Thomas Cook arranged tour of Asian Wonders. We were booked for a tour with visit to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. However, when we were given tickets, they changed the cruise without our consent and skipped Thailand.

For the cruise, they made us travel 350 KM by coach to Singapore from Kualalampur. Due to wrong briefing about Singapore customs, two of our members in a group of 12 were temporarily detained by Singapore customs.

The Thomas Cook operators left our members at the customs and proceeded with the rest and boarded the cruise. During our transportation from Kualalampur to Singapore, they wasted about 90 min for lunch but could not wait 15 min. Our members were left to defend on their own in Singapore. Later Thomas Cook asked us to pitch in$525 to lodge them for a day at Singapore and arrange air tickets for them to fly to Penang which was next day halt for cruise.

We had no choice but to spend$525 and our two members lost one day at cruise and all of us underwent so much mental tension. They also spent additional$200 for taxi, phone calls etc.

It was still not the end of our misery. After the 3-day cruise, Thomas Cook again took us back to Kualalampur by coach ride for 7 hours. Thus we kept on shuttling between Kualalampur and Singapore thrice which was not part of tour we had originally booked. When we questioned,  their tour manager Mr De Souza started shouting at us. He even misbehaved with me. Therefore, I strongly recommend that everyone should be careful while booking for a tour with Thomas Cook because such incidents can also happen with you and there will be no choice but to regret.
