The present novel’Three men in a boat’ is a satirical comedy from the author Jerome K.Jerome.Its a story of three men, Jim(the narrator), George, Harris who set out on a boat trip with their dog Montmorency across river Thames.The writer suffers from hypochondria.He hates sea voyages and has a great sense of humour.He is a history and nature lover.George is a lazy person and can sleep anywhere and anytime.He suggests a boat trip which is appreciated. by his friends.Harris is practical man and knows the place where his needs can be met.He is a fussy man and does a little work.He thinks he suffers from giddiness and pretends to like sea-trips.Through the talks and actions of these friends on their trip the author tries to bring out the real nature of human beings.
Thecniques used- In a comic way the author teaches the readers the philosophical views and the way of life.
Readability-Its very easu to be read and can be easily undrstood by anyone.
Thus I woild say its a good book to be read.I enjoyed reading it.
