| Introduction|
I never wanted to write this review in the form of a book but while reading a book and when I was distracted by the news from one of those news channels, I walked in to the room and in vain…, I shall reveal how much Michael Jackson and his music mean to me.
| About the Legend|
What about sunrise… What about rain… What about all the things… That you said we were going to gain…?
He started his career in a low note and while playing for a band when he was child which of course led him to the ‘King’ of Pop. The news is still a pain and I do skip the channels when I get any news related to him because, I believe he is still alive. Well, there was a human being behind that entertainer… There was a human being behind that thriller… Now, he remains in the history but… won’t you miss him? Wouldn’t you miss him at all?
Have you listened to the Earth Song?.
In 1999, while performing Earth Song in front of a large crowd, he fell down hitting his chest on a wooden piece due to some technical error. And the scene was quite disturbing and when his makeup artist asked him, how did he manage to perform after this.
He turned around and said, “I thought of my Father at that very moment and he said Michael whatever happens, do not disappoint your audience’.
Perhaps, only he could do this and if you watch the same video in youtube, maybe you will understand what I try to convey here.
| About his Music|
Why did I choose Thriller? Well, we know that all of his albums were huge hit but the fact that made me pen down about this Album is because of its records. Probably there will be no other Album that will break its record. And they are
• World’s best selling record album
• The first album to use music videos as a promotional tool
• The album that won 8 record breaking Grammy awards
Well, to mention there are many points but right now ‘Little Susie’ is playing my list and I have become a wounded soul who craves to hear more of them because, he wasn’t just singing… he wasn’t just singing friends…
For instance, he sang the song ‘Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’” and the album starts off with this track and it will give us a fresh feeling with the mix of instruments that thrusts in to our soul while listening to the second or third time. So, the basic idea is to make the people listen more to him and thus we are addicted to the version of Michaels Kinda music.
The second track ‘Girl is mine’ again reminds me of someone who wished to keep a special girl in his life and of course the soothing voice did reach someone at the point in his life. I don’t understand the way he was nailed… cursed…
But, all I know is that, I don’t care if he is black or white… I just relate a person with myself and see if he has done justice to his talent when he was alive… Now, would you tell me if he didn’t?
‘Thriller’ being the fourth track in the album will always remain close to my heart… The haunting sound that starts off with the disco beat is incredible and I can imagine how many musicians must have copied the same kind of beats. He wasn’t trying to scream in it… That hiccups between the songs, Dangerous steps… Moon walk all will remain as his trademark…
Beat it was the fifth track and I like it for its melodious yet fast beat… So, beat it… Oh, just beat it…
By the way did I tell you all that ‘Thriller” is the first album to sell more than one million songs downloaded in a week?
Alright, coming to the 6th track which introduced the Moon walk to the world was one of the best selling singles in 1983. If you have missed this track Billie Jean, do watch it and sit in a corner and think about what a loss this legend is to us. Well, if you have noticed, I’m not getting appropriate words and do not curse me for the same because I have no words to describe Michael Jakcson and his music. We all grew up hearing his songs, watching his dance steps… And like Coldplay once sang., tears stream down your face… when you loose something, you cannot replace them”
True… when you loose something… or someone… you cannot replace them…
*| xNJx’s Tribute|
Michael Jackson,
You once said, “In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.”
Now that you have left us with your music… your words… and it’s time to heal the wound… I’m sure you will have a great gig in the sky… You will be meeting all the legends there… And they will all shower praises on you… You will always remain close to us… We all love you…
Like you said, the greatest education is to look at the master and learn… Many will learn from you… And there will be no other Michael Jackson other than you and your masterpiece albums…
*Love, Peace & Empathy,
*N J
*| Conclusion|
When you listen to someone, listen to it impartially because it’s very important not to judge a person on the rumors that we hear. He was nailed, cursed by many… And the same people praise him and cry for his loss… That’s insane… I feel so bad…
The thriller who gave a new life to the world has been passed the world in gag… End of the era… Little Susie is still playing in my computer… the singer is not in this world but… his music, will always be there for us… for our generation… for all…
