THRISSUR is the central part of the state Kerala, which is the cultural capital of the state. Thrissur is famous for its cultural heritage . The land is also know as land of POORAM(means festival). As it is a forest area, the tourism is regulated by forest department. The highway that connects Tamil Nadu and Kerala is in the amidst of thick forest so the traffic is regulated between 6am to 6pm.
