I had signed up for Tikona Broadband internet services for an unlimited download / month plan.
Since the beginning I have been having connectivity problems which I had brought to their notice.
An engineer would repair the same, but the problem would recur after a week or so .
From 15 th April 2011 to 15 th May 2011 there was very poor service & almost no connectivity,
accordingly I called up customer care & refused to pay the bill as the promised internet services were not provided.
The official said that they would apply a waiver of charges which would be split over 2 months & I needed to pay only a certain amount which according to his calculations was Rs.360. This I did, but their system was never updated & I kept getting a bill which showed previous dues as not being paid, apart from this there was constant harassment in the form of phone calls .
I escalated the matter to their nodal officer who said that since I had consumed 1gb data during the said period, the waiver would not be applicable . I refused to accept his decision & conveyed the same to him, to which he did not reply .
Tired with the poor service & non existent connectivity, I gave instructions to terminate the account on the 15th of Dec.2011, also clearing the dues till 15th Dec.
They have sent me aDemand Notice that a total outstanding of 1499.71 was there out which they were ready to waive 1020.19 & I had to pay 479.52 for usage upto 14th Dec. else they will consider legal proceedings criminal as well as civil .
I have already paid the entire bill amount for Dec.i.e. Rs.660 - so where does the question of outstanding amount arise
& even if they are considering the period of!5th April to 15th May that amount should be only Rs. 660 .They also have a deposit of Rs. 600 odd with them.User id is 1101154742
