I was using tikona for 3 years (no other option where I lived). Connection was okay but disconnection every 3 days and outages also you never get the said speed. Still it was survivable. Recently airtel started providing and I switched and real tikona emerged.
I called to disconnect and the customer care person registered the call I disconnected the device and started on airtel. I got a call back in a week and asked me to lower the speed and keep the connection or transfer it to my friends. When I denied they said that it will take 45 days in minimum to disconnect. When asked why they said it is company policy. I informed that I will not be making a payment till the final settlement amount is told to me and asked the person to make a note.
Since then tikona has been raising invoice over invoice and then started calls for collecting the same. When I told them the discussion during the disconnection they say that there is nothing like that in the system and I have to pay on refusing they started to threaten first saying people will come to home for collection which would be an embarrassment etc. I countered them that sending ruffians will ensure I collect damages from Tikona and they switched to legal threatening saying they will make case and sending legal notices all the while processing the final payment amount.
After 45 days they calculated and asked me to pay full month due though I left in middle. surprisingly when joining it is pro-rata but while leaving it is not. This ought to be a rule from TRI so companies cannot take money without giving service. Even after payment calls does not end and the level of abuse keeps on increasing.
People will call saying they are calling from high court of Delhi and they are about to register a case when I challenged that the number they are calling from is not registered to court they start to heap abuse . even though I say I have made the payment for full and final settlement. They dont care they keep saying abusive things.
I called the Customer care and asked for senior officials numbers or email and they will promptly disconnect the call. 25 times I have called and surprisingly the call gets disconnected next second I ask for senior official number.
So before Using tikona think 100 times, they are trying to blackmail money from customers when they disconnect and also employ bad ways to force customers getting the money out. No one needs to be harassed like this. Go for any other connection but tikona.
