I was approached by a sales guy from Tikona, and offered me Rs550 PM unlimited plan for a 2mbps service. he gave me a demo and showed me the download and upload speeds. After this I was asked to make the 1st payment including Rs.500 for installation. Once the check got cleared, a installation technician visited my premises and confirmed that the sales guys misguided me to make a sale, as there is no Access point to provision the connection.
My first next step was to get a complaint for cheating and misguiding to the customer care on the sales guy, and at the same time I even asked them to refund my money. This was done in March and I was told that the max. time they take to give refund is 30 days.
I waited for almost 45 days and made a call to their office, and was told that the refund is still in progress and will be processed in some time however no definite duration was provided.
My patience drained out after it was more then 75 days that my refund has still not come, I escalated my case to their nodal office in Delhi, their MD, CTO, CFO, Head of Compliance...But hell let loose if these people are ready to budge a bit.
All I got as a response email was I need to wait for another 30days to get my refund.
So folks, am not sure how soon my money comes, however their customer care is a useless dept. with no manners to talk and in spite they claim they are escalating, however no action is taken on your plea.
Pl ensure, in case you still plan to go ahead with the connection, ensure you can see the access point from your terrace, as the line of sight is required to be clear for the connection to work, cause a sales guy will be able to demo even if there is no direct line of sight to the access point.
Also, I have checked with other friends of mine who did buy the connection, the speeds are not at all at par as committed and also the customer care deptt. is quite useless as they are not well informed and courteous.
Also, in case anything goes wrong awfully, like in my case my money is stuck with them, am sure you will be not be able to get your refund or have it rectified at all.
Also I feel it it their modus operandi, to collect money from innocent customers and then not process their refund. This way they cash on the amount of interest earned out of such enrollments.
Trust me, this is a complete no no connection. Airtel is 1000 times better and you are dealing with professionals. Try it and know it your self.
Thanks,
Kunal
