Height of Bad service

Hi All, I had taken a Tikona Wibro connection around 10-12 months back and since then I have been facing the burnt their pathetic service. Soon after my account was activated I started facing issue with connectivity, my plan was 2 MBPS but the speed rarely reached 2 Mbps, it hovered around less that even 256 Kbps for most time. Numerous calls at their call center did not help me get a better service or connectivity.


In July’11 I decided to get it disconnected and called up customer care and got a request no.1-1880236859. I waited for a few days for these guys to disconnect my account, when nobody came I wrote a mail to their customer care and I got a reply on 24th July’11 that once I clear my outstanding amount they will disconnect my account. I paid the outstanding amount on 7th August’11 via my credit card and constantly wrote mail to the customer care to disconnect my account.


Even after giving me a disconnection request they sent me a fresh bill for the period of July-Aug’11, I again called up customer care and was told that they will send someone to disconnect my account and they will check with their billing department regarding the bill which they had sent me. After numerous calls and mails I did not get any revert and I continued to receive SMS on my mobile phone for payment of July-Aug Bill.


On 7th Sept’11 I wrote to their nodal officer in Delhi but failed to get a revert. Then on 12th Sept’11 I wrote to Mr. Nagesh Prasad and I got a reply that they will look into the matter and I was given a Nodal Officer Escalation Docket Number is 1-1951341362 by Mr. Prasad, but no further action.


Today I received another Bill for the period of Aug-Sept’11 and I again wrote to one Vertika Agarwal who is supposed to be Appellate authority at Tikona but no response yet. Can you imagine this receiving bills month after month even after you have asked for disconnection and paid your dues in full and when my account has been suspended as soon as they generated a disconnection request number.


So friends, my sincere advice will be to stay away from this ISP if you can, based upon my experience I certainly can not recommend this service provider to anyone.


Update: Finally someone from Tikona contacted me today and collected the modem to formally disconnect my account. Exactly after two months of writing mails and calling customer care, may be the effect of sharing my experience here:). But am happy that at the end its good riddance from this service provider.
