Interview Process portrayed the politics / conflicts between the Management of the Organization. I was selected for the role after being interviewed by Manager, Director & HR of the company. Then I was emailed to send the salary slips & compensation break up with Current Organization so that they can work on my offer & also I was informed that my Offer Letter will be shared shortly. But this short wait never ended as I received a call after 7 Working days from HR stating there is another Head of Dept. who wants to take my interview before they can send out the Offer as he needs to provide the approval on my Offer. Now, I found it weird and unprofessional but decided to go ahead to attend the interview. Now the real picture of the internal politics of the Organization comes up.




  1. Head was very rude, arrogant that he did not even bother to tell his name. On asking also, I was told first name that too in a very rude manner without looking at me.




  2. I was interrupted in my introduction(after 2-3 lines) & asked question on one the Certification course I recently did. I answered it well so it was closed.




  3. Now, the series of irrelevant questions started, I was asked about Infrastructure related questions like how Server works, how you select the disc size, how you buy hard disc, how server is set up, how you trouble shoot the issues on server, explain java code.






Note - I had applied for pure Manual Testing role based on JD & also was selected by their panel for the same.




  1. No questions related to my experience/ Job Description were asked to me.




  2. As I was not able to answer server related questions but tried answering the same, was told your answers are not making sense. To which I mentioned I dont deal with servers and I have pure Manual Testing & Lead experience.




  3. In the end, the head concluded that I have never Lead any teams so I am not fit for the role.






To which I corrected him that I have been leading team from more than 6.5 years & same is reflected in my resume.




  1. I get the feedback in the evening from HR that I have been rejected based on the feedback from Head.




Now, I called the HR to understand the reason as it was very clear in the interview that Head just wanted to reject me so he was asking me irrelevant questions & I was called so that I can be rejected and proven to other panel members(Director) who had selected me.




  1. On asking HR, I was informed that feedback from the Head is - as I have worked only on managing teams & do not have Hands on- so I am unfit for the role.




  2. Neither point 6 nor point 8 were true and it was clear to previous panel members very well and clearly reflected in my resume. I have both hand on as well as I lead teams.




  3. I have escalated the matter to HR Head for India & he has apologized and accepted the occurence of such events is very unfortunate & he will be taking appropriate action for the same. I am awaiting updates on what action is being taken on the Head for this as I don’t want such actions to be repeated/ go by unattended.






However, I am very clear that I would never want to work with Aristocrat Technologies India after this bitter experience. This is really unprofessional & shows the dirty politics being played by higher management. I cannot comment on the intention of the Head but this is worst experience I have had & is really disappointing on the organizations behalf.


I wonder if Top Management is like this, how the organization would be operating in day to day work.


However, I do appreciate the panel members who took my interview & selected me before - not for the fact that they selected me but for the professionalism shown by them. Also, I appreciate HR Head taking out time & discussing the matter with me. I am awaiting action details from the HR Head & will keep updating my feedback on this.


Overall - No Professionalism, Bad Choice as your Employer, Too Much Politics(visible even to the candidates applying for Job), Big No to such Employer, Worst Experience, Rude & Arrogant Leaders
