Mummeee I grew a tummy :(

One day at office I had nothing to do, so I was doing nothing. Because I liked this, I started doing this nothing for long that I became outright lazy. Laziness became a part of my daily routine everywhere and not just in office. As a consequence I grew more healthy, yes, but only in the waist area. Someone saw me on other side of a door, my tummy came first and then I followed. If I dressed like a lady, the bus driver would give me 1 and half tickets thinking I am pregnant.


Not long ago, I completed a half marathon(not half of a marathon, but half marathon of 13 miles). Of course I was tottering towards the end and completed licking the finish line like McQueen in the’cars’. But the point is, I was fit enough to survive after running 13 miles. It just took 40 pints and a summer to get me out of shape. And when you are out of shape, it takes away your confidence as well. If you are someone like me, desperate to get back to good old healthy ways, best way to go about it is: without doubt to continue reading this write-up!:)


No matter how much ever doctors and people emphasize, we never exercise. Probably few tips might help breaking the jinx


When to exercise


Best time to exercise is when you do it! We are now in an era where if you just find sometime in any part of the day, it is a blessing. So, just do it. However, stop being ridiculously stupid by desperately tying to shed at least 300 calories immediately after 900 calorie intake. You might puke all the 900 calories out. Give reasonable time after food to exercise, say after intake at least after the level falls from neck to small intestine:)


What to exercise


You know the answer. Yes, anything. But my favorite is a treadmill. Running can be the easiest and best exercise. Best way to chose an exercise is to go to a gym, and select a good programme with a good instructor. But given a busy schedule this might not be possible always. So some stretching exercises and some breathing exercises along with a jog around the park should keep you fit


How to exercise


Be in a easy, comfortable outfit when you exercise. Before you do any exercise there are warm-ups which you have to do. It is the most boring part of exercising, but that would help you avoid most injuries. And, as anybody would advise you, exercises work best when it is done properly. Know/learn the procedure and then exercise . otherwise you might not get the full effect of exercising.


When you exercise .


Do not strain yourself. Exercising is not straining. If you are spraining your muscles or feeling giddy and all that, just relax. On the other, if you are always in a relaxed zone, you are not really exercising. There will always be an Inner voice asking you to stop. Exercising is about beating that feeling. Remember, when you don’t listen to your inner voice you can even become prime minister of India!


The best part about Mouthshut is anybody can write anything, like an out-of-shape guy giving tips on Exercising. But, everything about doing exercise is simple. And when you start doing it, you will eventually get into a routine that suits you the best way. I have just shed off 1/4th of what I put on, and I am feeling confident already. How good it would feel to be healthy throughout the lifetime? So, exercise.
