Try to to use numbers or hyphens, unless you cannot find your choice.
Buy domains from trustworthy vendors like Godaddy or Name.com. Other small vendors may vanish overnight and there might be trouble claiming your domains.
If you want an email of your domain name, try Google For Work. It is simple to use and easily accessible. Otherwise you can use your service’s email too. But the security cannot be guaranteed everytime.
