Today, I would like to give some Important Tips to protect credit card. Firstly, we should be cautious about disclosing our account number over the phone unless we know we are dealing with a reputable company. We must never put our account number on the outside of an envelope or on a postcard. We should draw a line through blank spaces on charge slips above the total so the amount cannot be changed. We should not sign a blank charge slip.We should tear up carbons and save your receipts to check against our monthly billing statements. We need to open billing statements promptly and compare them with our receipts. We should report mistakes or discrepancies immediately to the “billing inquiries” address listed on our statement. The card issuer must investigate billing errors reported within 60 days of the date our statement was mailed. We must keep a record — in a safe place separate from our cards — of our account numbers, expiration dates and the telephone numbers of each card issuer so we can report a loss quickly. Lastly, we should carry only those cards we anticipate we’ll need. These are the same tips on credit card protection.
