I recently Got my Santro 2002 Model repainted. Since I wanted to make over my Santro from a mere Santro to a Head Turner, I did every thing within my Budget to Make it look like a Race Car. My Mechanic in Nashik suggested that I go for AUTOMECH Free-flow Exhaust system. The first thought that came to my mind was how much would its effect be on the Mileage. My Mechanic told me it would at least go down by 20-30%.
It meant that the Santro Which was giving me a decent 13 kmpl before would give me 8-10 kmpl. Since I drive the Car only on Weekends, I did not mind the Fuel Factor too much. Next was the Power that I would get. The Mechanics assured me that It would also go up by at least 20-30% if Done Correctly alongwith other Modifications like K&N Filters(Approx.Rs.3500) and Iridium Spark Plugs(Approx Rs.1000 each). The Exhaust System Costs approx. Rs.12000 and this meant that the total expenses would be 19k for the entire system. I agreed.
My Mechanic Completed the Modifications in approx 7 days and Now my car is Fitted with it. I assure you People that It is worth every Penny. Right from the Sporty Sound that the Exhaust makes, to the Punch that the acceleration now Has. Every thing is Excellent. The Performance on Power terms has gone up as follows: 110kmph can be attained in the 3rd Gear & 140kmph+ before I hit the Overdrive i.e. 5th However this raw power comes in a very quick time i.e. 0-100 is now less than 13 seconds as against Company Claimed 16.2. The Mileage, as projected by the Mechanic, has gone down to 8-9 depending on the Driving Conditions.
With this kind of Power, the Braking too nedds and Upgrade which I have already done by replacing the Pads. The Wear and tear of Brake pads too goes down from average life of 20000 kms to 10000 kms. The Iridium Sparks need Replacement every 5000 kms i.e. along with oil change.
Overall, I am satisfied with this Product. It has delivered to my satisfaction. The Car surely announces its arrival with its Sporty sound much before it can be seen. Plus it can beat most of the Cars with higher power under their bellies. I love the Automech Exhausts and surely recommend it.
