At times one really wonders that initial pursuit of mankind to fulfill
basic needs
like feeding and clothing has become so complicated an affair that one
does not have sufficient time to eat a cooked thing at leisure, most
often than not, one has to rush in hurry to the work without
breakfast, is feeling hungry but can not stop on the way side even for
a few minutes to just have a chow. By the time one reaches a decent
destination, on gets occupied with the pestering issues and that need
to fill the tummy remains unfulfilled as it is.
I was personally so much a victim of such a situation that every other
day I was left with no other option but to take my breakfast while
driving to my first destination in the morning. In winders, if by any
chance, I could not consume the breakfast, immediately on settling in
the car, it used to turn insipid. With the result the packet had to be
brought back as it is at night. On general discussions on this
particular phase with my colleagues and friends, I gathered that this
was a common problem with city dwellers. On another occasion, while
we went on an outing to a distant place with another family who had a
small child to take care of, could not feed the infant since the milk
they were carrying in a feeding bottle had turned very cold and while
we could not afford to get the milk warmed from a roadside dhaba for
being unhygienic, the bigger restaurants and hotels regretted their
inability to provide warm milk or even warm our milk. Those moments,
which we passed with frantically crying baby and desperate mother,
till we could reach a suitable place, were really agonizing.
During above all and many more situations like these, I desperately
used to imagine of a solution by virtue of which one could get over
this problem for good. I started toiling with the idea of providing a
mini food warmer in the car itself but then there was the essential
requirement of electricity for the backup! After designing many
prototypes on the basic idea of keeping the eatables warm as long as
one is driving, I finally came out with a concept. Which was very
handy, flexible, having sufficient space to accommodate snacks good
for two adults. In its prototype version itself, one fine winter
evening, while driving home, I could cater to the demand of my kids
for sizllers from a pre destined outlet, at a distance of over one and
a half hour’s drive away. The joy of the same mother while instantly
feeding milk to the infant on demand, duly Luke warmed with the
prototype itself is beyond expression in composition.
All this encouraged me to make one hundred pieces in one go on trial
basis, which I liberally gifted to friends on the ensuing Diwali.
Besides the appreciations about the usability of the product, I did
get valuable suggestions, which were duly taken care of in an instant
and first order, which I received for Two hundred pieces from another
friend who desired to gift it to his relations on the occasion of the
wedding of his son, duly inscribed with the occasion HRITIK WEDS
AAKANKSHA. A bulk order, which finally compelled me to start
commercial production was from an IT company, who were keen on gifting
to their staff and clients, on the occasion of Diwali, some thing
which was useful but still not available in the existing market and of
course inscribed with their own LOGO.
Commencement of commercial production, necessitated naming this
instant warming, utility product, compassionately as ’’instawarmth’’ and
is now being successfully exported besides being well accepted in the
local market.
