Today I am bringing to you tips on How to use a Trimmer?
Always charge your trimmer to at least 50% so that you do not run out of battery while trimming your hair. Premium Trimmers like Philips QT 4011, BT 5200, BT 7206 can run on Direct power as well as on Battery. In that case, you don’t even need to charge.
Panasonic trimmers blades require Oiling while Philips and Braun Trimmers does not. Which means if you have a panasonic trimmer you are screwed, because you’ll always need to put oil in the blades before you trim.
After that, you can start trimming your hair. If you have long hair, make sure not to run the trimmer over without the comb provided . First cut the hair to as short as 1-3 inches using the attachment and then you may remove it and carry on to get a close trim.
Set the precision as per your choice and if you don’t like close trim, just keep the comb attached to the trimmer. It will prevent you from getting cuts also. Specially if you have a Trimmer with extremely sharp blades like the Philips BT 5200, or the BT 7206. To avoid this, you may set the precision to 0.8 mm / 1 mm or even more however it won’t give you a close trim. For clean trim, set the precision to 0.5 mm and dont run it at some angle, Say 45°
After you have trimmed you can simply pull the blade from the trimmer and clean it using the brush provided in the box. If you have a waterproof trimmer like Philips BT 5200, you can even put the trimmer under Running water. Not the bottom part, obviously. However I don’t recommend that. Be careful while pulling the blades. You might hurt yourself.
Now let the trimmer dry and may be clean it with a cotton cloth. Then you can safely put it back to its place. You may have to charge your trimmer for the next time. Charging time depends model to model but roughly speaking any trimmer worth 2000 and more will have a fast charging and a good battery backup. So make sure to buy a Good Quality trimmer.
