Hi,
I went to tirupati many times with my friends nad family members. the last I went to tirupati with my friends. we reached the railway station in tirupai. it was very big but not so clean. as it is tourist place the streets infront of railway station are filled with dirt. there are many shops selling worship items along the way. we went to bhimas residency hotel to reside for 4 days. I think the tirupati is the city of hotels and lodges. in our hotels area there are at least 20 small and big hotels are there. hotel bliss also a good hotel. in the name of bhimas there are four hotels bhimas paradise, residency, deluxe and bhimas. on that evening we went to sri GOVINDARAJA SWAMY TEMPLE in centre of the town. it was very charming with number of shops infront of it. the decoration of that temple was very nice. there was a MUSEUM in front of that temple. there some nice collections of the kings of tirupati. the next day we went to koneru located in front of the govindaraja temple. we also went to tiruchanur and alivela mangapuram. padmavathi and alivelu mangamma are located in tiruchanur and alivela mangapuram respectively. in the middle of them lord venki resides in tirumala.we also went to book our tickets in alipiri and visited kapila thirtham. it is the temple of siva with waterfalls in it. tha was a very beautiful temple I ever seen. on that day evening we went to a film called pournami in tirupati in group theatres. it was a group of more than 7 theatres playing different films. that has gone 10.00 pm and to the hotel to take some rest. we woke up the next day morning and went to tirumala to see lord venkateshwara. it has gone over 4 hours. lord venki was very handsome with his jewels and dresses.inspite of the long waiting in the que we saw his clearly. tirumala was very rush and very small. we returned to tirupati at 4.00pm and we took rest that day and went to kalahasti to see lord siva the next morning. there are more than one thousand lingas of siva. its koneru was very beautiful. and we returned to hyderabad by train hat day evening. overall, the tirupati was the city of number temples and hotels. crime is everywhere in the universe, in the lord venki`s home town it is somewhat more so be careful in your trip of tirupati.
