I purchased a pair of specs from Titan Eye+ in July 2010. The frame and lens were very costly by any standard and carried one year warranty. No doubt the product was also equally good. The problem started when scales started to come out from the lens. The glass were presented to the showroom for rectification of the defect on 25th November 2010. The showroom representative was reluctant to give any receipt for the same. Upon insistence, he however, gave a very temporary receipt without putting any date on it. Now almost 20 days have passed since then without any action from the titan stores. Few days back when I called the showroom, I was told that since renovation work of the showroom is underway, the repairs could not be taken up. Moreover, they need to get confirmation from their Head Office to take up the repairs. I would like the know whether it is the responsibility of the consumers who shells out 10-15 thousand on a specs to run around for repair of the product under warranty. Moreover, the phone number given on the receipt is also not in working order.
