THE Watch (atleast for me)

Ten years ago I needed a new watch. As I was going to travel abroad I deferred buying a watch, assuming I would get a better choice if I broadened my shopping horizons. All I was looking for was a no frills leather strapped watch. No fancy gadgetry were required. My travels took me from countries in the far East to Western Europe and Australia and each and every place I visited I definitely looked for a watch. They were either toooooooo expensive or just not worth giving a second look to.

One particular watch (which I thank my stars I asked for the price before asking it to be packed)very elegant , plain leather strap and a golden coloured dial just what I was looking for(I thought) turned out to cost aprox. IRS. 55, 000.00(the dial which I thought was golden coloured was pure gold and so was the case). The second watch I REALLY liked was a Titan watch and why waste foreign exchange on our desi stuff so I returned the way I left. ’’Sooni Kalayi’’ No watch. My mission of buying a watch was still incomplete and the ONLY piece which I had liked AND could afford was apna TITAN I went to a Titan shop and lo and behold!

The first piece I saw was exactly what I wanted in a watch. All I paid for it was aprox Rs.950.00 I have been wearing my watch regularly for the past ten years now. All the service that this watch has required is changing of batteries and straps as and when they have worn out.The gold casing is now slightly faded BECAUSE yours truly washed the watch about 3/4 yrs ago in a HEAVILY SOILED CLOTHES CYCLE at about 70degrees.

When I pulled out the watch from my jeans pocket I thought I would have to give it an immediate burial there and then GOD is my witness guys THE WATCH CAME OUT TICKING.Neither did I have to get it serviced nor spend a single Rupee on it till its next battery change. Though it is faded now and looks a bit shabby I do not want to discard it as it has given me HASSEL FREE service for so long.

I recommend a TITAN to anybody who ever wants to buy a watch EVER.
