The official description of TNT as being operational only in the evenings, showing only English movies, caught my eye.
In America, TNT operates twenty-four hours a day with a wider variety of programs.
Todays(Thursday)schedule offers re-runs of old series, an afternoon movie, more re-runs, then basketball games later in the evening. The late night line up features movies, followed by more re-runs.
The morning begins with the WILD WILD WEST at 6:00 a.m. Following that is an episode of C.H.I.P.S., LOIS & CLARK:THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN, and two episodes of
E.R.
The afternoon movie is BEFORE SUNRISE with two episodes of
IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT airing after the movie.
Other shows which will run during the day include PENSACOLA:WINGS OF GOLD, TOUR OF DUTY, PSI FACTOR and THE PRETENDER.
TNT also frequently offers its own original series and specials.
The Saturday Night New Classics offers movies such as OVERBOARD, AUSTIN POWERS, PLATOON, BLADE and THE UNTOUCHABLES.

We enjoy watching some of the old re-runs. My husband especially likes IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT.
Some of the original movies are very good, too. The only thing wrong with them is that often when they run an original movie, they will show it repeatedly, running back to back viewings of it.
I do not enjoy the sports programs, but occasionally my husband will watch a game, if he likes one or the other of the teams playing.
All in all, TNT offers fairly good family programming. The channel is included in our basic cable package. I am not sure if we would purchase it separately, but it does make a nice addition to the channel selections.
