PLOT - As the name suggests, this movie is all about the need and importance of toilets in each and every household. In the movie women’s have to go in open fields, long way from their houses to defecate.Keshav’s ( Akshay Kumar ) father is a very religious person and he believes that his son have to marry a black buffalo to improve his fortune.Keshav fell in love with a girl named Jaya ( Bhumi ) and somehow convinced her to marry him but again Keshav’s father want to marry his son with a girl who has got one extra thumb on either of her hand.Keshav plays a trick and somehow able to marry Jaya. On the first morning in Keshav’s house Jaya have to go in open fields to defecate because of lack of toilet in his house, Jaya gets angry and come back without defecating. Jaya decides to leave Keshav’s house and went to live with her parents. After some attempts to convince sarpanch to build toilet in their village, Keshav with the help of legalities and Jaya starts making toilet in their front yard but sarpanch and his father demolishes the toilet. On which Jaya got really upset files a divorce case against keshav and gave the main reason of divorce ( unavailability of toilet at his husband’s house ) . This case attracted alot of media coverage and because of that politicians were coming to help Keshav’s village but because of sarpanch, Keshav’s father and villagers, it couldn’t have happened, Keshav’s father was firm in his decision.One day keshav’s mother, while going to deficate get her hip injured, now she can’t go that far in fields to deficate, she uses the toilet made by keshav. Only then his father realises how important it is to have a toilet at home, jaya’s divorce got unacceptable by chief minister and he said to make toilets in his village and that’s how the story ends making jaya and keshav come back to each other.
PERFORMANCE - we all know the acting of akshay kumar, he is a yes-yes when comes to any role, his acting was a blast in this movie and bhumi gave her careers best performance as well.
MUSIC - there were four songs in total in this movie and sung by some really talented singers like sonu nigam, sunidhi chauhan, shreya ghosal, sukhwinder singh, palak muchal so overall music was pretty descent.
CINEMATOGRAPHY - It’s done by Anshuman Mahaley. Best known for cinematography in movies like Jolly LLB, Dharam Sankat Mein and Micky Virus. Cinematography was good overall.
