Piece of land. peace of mind.

Madhavpur is a small(you can call it smallest if you live in some metro!)in western coast of Gujarat. and there is this little beautiful commune tucked away into thick of coconut plantations. A bonus, there is long shore of beach and whats more its offered in five types-sandy, rocky, shrubby, shell-y, and yeah, one with sea-weeds plantation! a laidback atmosphere, smell of fresh fish and other creatures will grab your senses as well as soul and take you to some astonishing heights of peace.

from Ahmedabad you can get a bus directly to Madhavpur. or if you happen to be in Rajkot which is another big city of Gujarat, you can get bus or taxi for that place. Madhavpur falls between Mahatma Gandhi’s birthplace Porbandar and Mangrol- a small fishing township.

Of course its not a tourist place to begin with so dont expect fency hotels and all. plus its small enough to be obscure. But once you get to this commune you may find it a reflection of your soul. Personally speaking, it has become a quintessential part of my own existence.

Those who love peace, meditation and harmony in life, this spot will mean more than a dot on the map. take my word.

enjoy!
