Australia NT and WA aka Kakadu and Monkey Mia(pronounced me-a) are blindly beautiful, the kind of locations you dream of, but are not sure they actually exist!
In Monkey Mia you can swim with the dolphins, snorkel, and Scuba dive, and in Kakadu you can explore the wonders of nature, mind the water holes, and salt water crocs tho!
Mulgas Adventure tours offers some great packages, and may even be able to offer you work for accomadation at one of his hostels such as Alice Springs or Adelaide.
I also recommend Algonquin Park(in Ontario) in my native Canada, where you will be surrounded by hunderds of kms of lush green forestry and the mysterious and sometimes elusive Canadian Wildlife such as Beavers, Moose, Bears, and Wolves. You can relax at ease by a lazy brook, or spend the day fishing, canoeing or kayaking!
There are many forest rangers and safety course to teach to how to camp safely without any danger at all!
You will want to check out my review on sports gear and clothing as a guide for what to bring!
I also recommend The West Idies, my uncle lived for a few years in this tropical paradise and my family enjoyed visiting his tropical paradise on a number of occassions.
You will find that the West Indies is not overrun by tourists like some places now days! There are many water sports, to take part in, parasailing, or you can just lie in the sun!
Another recommendation is South East Asia including Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia, where they have many beautfil temples and trails. Shopping is incredibly cheap, the pad-thai food is fantastic! The people are incredibly generous. In thailand try to get to a full moon party, and go shopping on a Kosan road!
My final recommendation is a little different, and may scare you, but I recommend Antartica, in all its beauty and splendor which I think will pleasantly surprise you with its wildlife, seals, penguins, whales.
You will see beautiful floating glaciers, and caves, and explore the realms of science. This can be a very educational journey, and I give it top marks!
