Usually desist from writing negative reviews, but this particular device has frustrated me not once but twice. In less than a year, it failed. It would not read. There is some mechanism inside the hdd which makes an annoying noise of struggling to perform and failing, over and over again. Finally I gave up and tried to do an RMA. Did I mention that support on phone is non-existent for poor underdeveloped countries like India? After a lot of frustrating research, I reached out to someone at Rashi, who is the approved support vendor in Bangalore. They asked me to mail the hard drive by courier and sent me a replacement drive in a week or so. I was relieved that it would be fine.
After less than a year, again the same stupid problem recurs with the new drive. At this point, I am too afraid to ask if the disk which I got was refurbished or was it part of a batch meant for 3rd world countries. Really, if your devices are this unreliable, please dont make them anymore Toshiba.
