The Toshiba PDR-M4 is a 2.1 mega pixel digicam that offers more features than most other digicams in the same price range.
It has 3 different picture quality modes; each indicated with a star. Highest quality pictures require 1MB of space. (Read as 8 pics on an 8MB flash card).
It also features red eye reduction but I must say that it still leaves much wanting in that area.
The USB connector allows fast uploading to your computer and the software bundled with it proves useful. But I would rather recommend accessing the digicam memory as a removable drive (possible in Windows ME/XP)
It also allows you to connect and view your pics on a TV.
The camera has standard features like auto/man focus, resizing and deleting images.
The (Li-ion)battery life is about 45-60min. Recharging without a separate recharger takes about 5 hours maximum.
One feature that I would have liked is an optical zoom, which it lacks. The 2X digital zoom is ok but it can never be as good as an optical zoom.
But on the whole I would say that its a good buy for someone who doesnt have professional photography needs/skills
