Totoodo Smartphone Workshop:-
My sincere suggestion:- Never go to Totoodo Smart Phone Workshops/Repair Center, if you have any(i mean it . any…) other options to repair your Mobile Phones and Tabs. Better to go to your authorized Service Centre.
My Suggestion to you all:- Never Venture in Totoodo Smart Phone Repair centers . You will lose your money – more over your peace of mind and unnecessary wastage of time( I spend minimum 6-8 hrs. in just talking to all and also going to their store multiple times) . Look rather for authorized service centers or Review Portals certified – Excellent rating Service center or Service center which you know Personally.
My Expereince:-
I gave my Nokia Lumia 920 Phone Totoodo Smartphone workshop 25th Jan 2015 – Phone Fall down and Touch Screen broke. I went to 2-3 Mobile Stores and repair shops in and around Bellandur, Kaikondrahalli and finally Univercell ppl in Kaikondrahalli, told that Totoodo Smartphone Workshop is good and reliable and you can repair your phone there. I gave the phone there . Store personal Mr. Manjunath told me that, they will send it to their H.O(Head Office) in Koramangala and it will be repaired in 2-3 hrs and charges for that will 7400/- . After hard negotiation, he agreed for 7200/- . Around 5 PM, Manjunath called me and told the Phone is repaired and ready and it can be collected from the Store in Kaikondrahalli . I was really super impressed.
When I was about to start he called me up and told the charging of phone is not happening properly and it’s on and off and told me to come and check. I reached the store and checked and it was not charging . He told to take my phone along with me and keep it charging for few hrs and see, if it’s working . I asked “Why the Technician in H.O Koramanagala didn’t check this problem?”. He started fading off and told me that it was checked etc. I told will check and see whether it’s charging in the night. I kept for charging and it didn’t charge Next day I went back to store(26th Jan 2015 – Republic day!) . Mr. Manjunath told, it might be because Connector and Charging Strip issue and it has to be changed and cost is 2200/- . I asked him to provide me a better price . But he kept telling that it’s the actual price and they cannot reduce it. Finally I agreed and kept the phone there and he told technician in Kaikondarhalli Store only will replace the charging strip. . He told it will be delivered back in evening . I thought it will be done like previous day and I will get back the phone. By evening I called him, 6, then at 8 Pm. He told it’s not ready as the strip is on the way from Malleshwaram Totoodo branch . Finally I they didn’t deliver that day .
Manjunath told “ If not repaired tomorrow, you can take back your device “ Got a bit offended as I given it for repairing and he is indicating to take it back without repairing it . On 27th Jan 2015, night 9 Pm he gave back the phone. I checked the Chagrining and the issue was resolved. On 28th Jan 2015, I received a call and then only I got to know that the “microphone of the phone is not working”, Whatever I speak, the other person is not able to hear, but when I keep the speaker on, able to hear I was totally disappointed, given for repair and they introduced a new issue. I called up store and spoke to one Mr. Selvaraj. He told Mr Manjunath and Technicians were on leave and to come the next day . I went in night after office and drop my phone for checking and repair . Nightmare started from then on! Next day 29th onwards I started following it up, They told phone was send to H.O and kept telling it will be coming in afternoon, evening, night etc . Nothing happened . Every time, given false promise.
On 30th I asked again . They told procuring the charging strip was taking time. I asked then why you ppl told it’s coming yesterday. They told it will come by evening 6 Pm. They called my wife’s phone and told that at least by 8 Pm it will come . and at 8:45 when we called up Store, they told Manjunath(whom we were interacting) went to H.O for meeting . In between the customer care ppl kept calling and they also started telling some or the other reason. Finally at 9 PM, I called up and Mr. Selvaraj picked up the call and he told the Phone will be delivered on that day . I got really Fedup with all these follow ups and false, baseless assurance . Finally I asked them “Tell the truth, whether they technicians in H.O at least touched phone “ . They told it will be done tomorrow(i.e 31st) and by 1:30 Pm or 2:00 Pm it will be delivered. With no other choice, I told them, “Hope it’s the final confirmation – Truthful and trustful confirmation”. Mr. Selvaraj – Yes it pucca and he will not go and collect it if not coming by that time . I told them at least they should have the courtesy to call and tell the customer that, as promised the Phone will not be delivered”. On 31st Jan 2015(today afternoon), when I called the store, they told I will be ready by 2 PM . I waited till 2:30 and then customer care executive(Ms Rajeshwari) called me . she told Phone is repaired and Senior Technician has asked to keep it for observation for 3-4 hrs . She told by 7 Pm it will be delivered to Kaikondra halli Store. No other choice again!– I told Okay . Around 7:15 PM again I called Customer care executive . she told the Delivery person is on the way to store . Again I called at 8:15 PM, 8:45 PM, same story – not yet reached(wondering how much time it will take from Koramangala to kaikondrahalli, next to wipro corporate office) . On top of that when I called the Customer care executive, she is not picking the phone. I called up store – they are totally unaware, when it will reach . Finally I lost all hope and told – if it’s coming let me know, I will only come and pick it up . At 9:30, both customer Care executive and Store personal called me and told that Phone reached the Kaikondrahalli store. I went and picked up phone . tested the call, Charging, Camera, Flash, text msg, few other apps. It was working fine .
Finally I told them, I’m really disappointed with the whole exp. Mr. Manjunath started defending and arguing with me as if I have done some crime, stating that 1-2 hrs he waiting etc . I told I’m following up with them and waiting for past 8-10 days without my phone and what about that!. He started defending himself and told me it’s not his problem, it’s from H.O the issue and miscommunication happened all the time. I told him ‘ hope you are working as one company and not as 2 different entities! He also told that my wife didn’t communicate properly etc(Her no. was given as contact no.) . there was some miscommunication etc . in 1st place they didn’t even bother call me up on 30th evening to tell the correct status and on top of that he is blaming my wife regarding the miscommunication. I really got irritated and told him “Never in my life, I will come back to Totoodo smartphone workshops and will tell all my friends and relatives not to venture into these shops”. I felt like whether I’m the Service provider and ppl in store were my customers!.
Ppl in store require really some Soft skills – like customer management skills and how to manage the situations and ensure giving customer a real good experience, rather than giving false promise and arguing with them for nothing and getting into baseless allegations . In Nut shell:- Never go to Totoodo Smart Phone Workshops/Repair Center, if you have any other options, anywhere to repair your Mobile Phones and Tabs.
