Hi everyone - read up a few reviews on TOTO’s
i have been a TOTO’s regular for now more than 7 years and one remarkable thing about that place is that it gets great crowd
It will be very normal for about 100 people in TOTO’s to be singing-along-loudly not just one song but say for 2 hours continously
The usual suspects in TOTO’s are:
Laju Bhatia - brother of the owner of TOTO’s - who doesnot live in India
Laju’s been taking care of TOTO’s right from inception and like his own baby
Colin, Sunny & sometimes Deepak who are the official DJ’s
mind yu Deepak is actually a steward - who doubles up as a DJ incase colin & sunny both fail to show up
Ashok - the iceman behind the bar
one of TOTOs old timers - always with a smile
The manager ofcourse - havent gotten to know him very well yet
he is just about a year old.. the last manager Gonsalves too was a nice guy
Last but not the least - the security guard - once I by mistake had dropped a 500 rs note - he came inside and gave it to me.. difficult to find such men nowadays !
All in all - Its a rocking place !
