Think twice before opting for a DSL connection

I have come across some rave reviews of Touchtel DSL on the net. However I have a different story to tell, and going by the scenes I have seen at their local centers and my own personal experience, things with them are far from being hunky dory.


I agree that their connectivity is good and far better than all dial ups and the cable internet connection I have experimented with.( I have a 128 kbps connection with unlimited downloads upto a max of 350MB). Their billing however is a complete mess, and even existing subscribers would do well to examine their bills in depth before paying them.


The unfortunate thing is that their customer care is NON EXISTENT. What good are the helplines, fancy music and so called customer care executives..it has been almost 6 months now with frequent billing discrepancies, none of these being satisfactorily addressed. It seems they have an unwritten code that clients be placated by hollow promises of ’we’ll get back to you at the earliest’..nobody ever does.


Nothing seems to work. I have had to literally tear my hair out in sheer frustration, I’ve lost my cool several times, I’ve written long letters to their top bosses..it makes not an iota of difference. What good is the huge advertising and various freebies being offered, when all the company is looking at are targets to be met? The customer is completely forgotten once he or she has paid up.
