Toyota Etios is unquestionably one of the most affordable sedan you can get within this price and from the house of Toyota. It is almost closer to the compact sedans or any other premium hatch. Initially when it was launched, it was not so attractive but Toyota has recently launched a refreshed version that looked to be stunning.
Last week I visited one of my relative’s place and they had bought a Etios few months back and done almost 15000+ kms. I also took the opportunity to be with the Etios for few days. i’m sharing the combined experience of me and my relative’s. Sophisticated looks and elegant style makes it very much noticeable and it will definitely stand out in the crowd but the interior is not up to the class and I think it needs to be improved but other features are awesome - you will not find more boot space in any sedan like this and also the rear row has lots of space. 3 people can sit comfortably and legroom is enough.
If you drive the car, it will also be a good experience. steering is feather touch, gear shifting n clutch is smooth. pick up is also very good which I have not expected. only one thing bad is on diesel version engine noise comes to cabin. it looks Toyota could not rectify it as in Innova has same issue. anyway, suspension is also soft, but due to this you will definitely feel the huge bumps( if face any).
About the mileage, my relative was praising all along and said that he gets around 18-19 kmpl on highways and 14-15 in his hometown with AC always on. oh yes, the AC cools the cabin within minute and my wife told me that it is better than our car( she sat on rear seat).
On reliability, I don’t have to tell anything about Toyota and my relative also endorsed my view. overall Etios is a good car to have. but saying that I got another problem, now my wife is pressing me to sell my car and get a Etios. I also thought that is not a bad idea and read other reviews on Etios https://goo.gl/Wio1qz and decided to get a Etios.
