I purchased Etios G Petrol in May 2011 from Nandi Toyota Bangalore, it has been 2 and half years since then and we have completed about 27000 Km. I thought of putting my experience in words to help some of you take a better decision. We use the car primarily for going to Office and sometimes for long drives. We used it for travelling to Pondicherry, Ooty, Mysore, Goa, Pune, Tirupati. The car is very spacious allowing you to travel with 5 elders (including driver) comfortably. The boot space is very large and you can put ample stuff for two families for a weekend outing. The car is very smooth in driving and controlling. Internal cabin is very spacious. This engine is very refined (Toyota’s expertise) and will never let you down on long drives. Always remember to service your car on time. The mileage it offers on Highway is very decent...around 18km-19km in Petrol Version. In the city it depends on traffic and road conditions ..for Bangalore somewhere around 12-13 km. The driving is very smooth till 110KMhr post that you experience some vibration. May be due to light body.
The AC is very powerful and best in class. The interiors are not great in the old model but if you can go for some fancy seat covers to get the desired look. Toyota provides 100% insurance on this car so in case of accidents most of it is covered by the insurer. Nandi Toyota Hosur Road offered me a great service ..I have shifted to Pune recently and not sure how the Service experience is going to be in Pune. Cons: In the old model the body would touch the ground on humps, we got that corrected for free during our service. Body is light so if you are a careless driver then you will incur more damages. Overall: Since it is our first car we are very satisfied and realize that we took the right decision.
Toyota’s assurance in Bangalore was great...Hope the same continues in Pune. After every service you get a call from Toyota office ..if you are unhappy.. please complain as Toyota is very particular about Customer satisfaction.
This car is a true value for money ..you get more than what you pay.
