BRAND TOYOTA PUT TO SHAME BY INNOVA PERFORMANCE

THOUGHT I WAS A PROUD OWNER OF A PRIEMIER CAR - THE INNOVA - G-2 DIESEL UNTIL :

  1. NEW CAR DISCOVERED WITH OIL STAINS ON CARPET.

  2. NEW CAR DISCOVERED WITH A LOOSE BATTERY CABLE - THAT LED TO THE VEHICLE NOT STARTING.

  3. NEW CAR PULLING TOWARDS THE LEFT WHILE DRIVING....NO PRE-DELIVERY-CHECKS CARRIED OUT.

  4. EMITTING SMOKE AND CHOKING UNABLE TO PULL - ORIGINAL CATALYIC CONVERTOR FAULTY - REPLACED IN ALMOST ALL CARS.

  5. GEAR LEVER SLIPPING - GEAR BUSH DIAGANOSED WITH THIS PROBLEM.

  6. POO QUALITY SEATS - DRIVER SEAT LOOSING SHAPE IN LESS THAN 6 MONTHS.

  7. POOR QUALITY WIPERS - FAILING TO FACE THE VEHICLES FIRST MONSOONS.

  8. MILEAGE INCONSISTENT.

  9. ENGINE NOISE SOUNDS LIKE A MINI TRUCK BOTH WHEN ACCELARTING BEYOND 80 KMPS AND ALSO WHILE TAKING THE FOOT OF THE ACCELARATOR.

  10. DEALERS GENERALLY CARELESS - LEADING TO REPEATED VISITS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM.

  11. PAINT COATING SO WEAK THAT A SLIGHT SCRATCH ALSO SHOWS.

  12. DEALERS & THE COMPANY FOUND LACKING IN ACCOUNTABILITY.

  13. THE MODEL HAS SIMILAR PROBLEMS EVEN IN PHILIPINES WHERE IT HAS BEEN LAUNCHED - ONE GETS THE FEELING THAT TOYOTA MOTORS IS EXPERIMENTING THE PRODUCT AT COUSTOMERS EXPENSE IN THE DEVELOPING COUNTRIES - AND WILLINGLY UPDATING PARTS BEFORE LAUNCHING IT IN EUROPE AND THE USA.

  14. THOUGH THE CAR HAS ITS STRENGTHS IT ONLY FEELS LIKE THE MONEY WAS INVESTED INTO A PERSISTENT HEAD-ACHE AS THE PRODUCT WILL CONTINUE TO DRAIN WHATEVER DISPOSABLE INCOME THERE IS FOR THE BUSINESS OF SERVICE AND MANINTENANCE THAT THE CAR DEMANDS ALREADY.

15. TOYOTA IS TRYING VERY HARD TO TEST AT LEAST THE DIESEL MODEL AT CUSTOMERS COST - I READ A LOT ABOUT THE PETROL VERSION AS WELL - BUT GUYS REMEMBER IT IS A VERY TIGHT NETWORK BETWEEN THE TOYOTA KIRLOSKAR MOTORS AND THE DEALERS WHO KEEP BACKING EACH OTHER AND CONTINUE OFFERING FREE SERVICE AND CHECK-UPS AS IF THEY WERE OBLIGING.


"ACTUALLY IF THE INNOVA IS OWNER DRIVEN AND NOT DRIVER DRIVEN IT DOES NOT LEAVE THE FEELING OF - NEWNESS OF THE PRODUCT - TO STAY LONG AND FOR MOST PEOPLE WHO ARE GRADUATING INTO A PREMIER VEHICLE SEGMENT LIKE MYSELF - IT IS HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHY A NEW CAR SHOULD VISIT THE DEALERSHIP FOR ONE PROBLEM OR THE OTHER ON AN AVERAGE 2 TIMES A MONTH."


ALSO PLEASE DO NOT GET TAKEN IN BY THE TKM’S OFFER OF CHANGING THE DEALER BECAUSE ALL THESE GUYS ARE TRYING TO OUTSMART THE OTHER AND AS TOYOTA KIRLOSKAR MOTORS (TKM) HARDLY ENDS UP DOING ANYTHING EXCEPT FOR COORDINATING THE EFFORT - VERY SOON AS A CAR ENTHUSIAST YOU GET A FEELING THAT THEIR DEALERSHIPS REALLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.


EVER WONDERED WHY THE TRAVIERA HAS STARTED ADVERTISING SO AGRESSIVELY. THEY ARE NOT ONLY CAPTURING THE VACUME CREATED BY THE GOING AWAY OF QUALLIS BUT ALSO BECAUSE THE INNOVA FAILED TO PERFORM - SOMETHING WHICH NOW CLEARLY REFLECTS IN THEIR CAMPAIGN AS WELL ................ DO NOT GET FOOLED LIKE US WE HAVE SIX INNOVA’S BOTH THE "G" AND "V" MODELS !!!!!!!!!!


TEAM - TOYOTA SHOULD RELAISE THAT THEY CANNOT CONTINUE DUMPING AN INFERIOR PRODUCT AND KEEP REPLACING PARTS WHICH FAIL IN INDIAN CONDITIONS AND TAKE BACK ALL THE MODELS ON THE ROAD DO MORE THAN 50, 000 KMS OF ROAD TEST THAT THEY HAVE CARRIED OUT AND THEN COME BACK WITH A PROBLEM FREE PRODUCT THAT DOES NOT NEED THE DEALERS SUPPORT FOR ATLEAST THE DURATION OF ITS 1, 00, 000 KM WARRANTY. BECAUSE WHEATHER THEY REALISE THE IMPLICATIONS OR NOT - ACCORDING TO THEIR DEALERS NO TAXI DRIVER IS BUYING THE VEHICLE ANY LONGER BECAUSE OF THE BRAKE DISKS, FUEL ECONOMY, AND OTHER RELATED ISSUES.
