I am using RE200 since December 2020. and bought it for ₹1700 from Amazon
Currently its placed at the centre of my house which is equidistant from the modem and the other end of the house.
The maximum range( here I get around 10mbps) is I get signals till the terrace(2 floors above the extender) when I stand above the extender region.
Note the area between extender and terrace is empty so no obstruction is there.
Now coming to the speed part when I connect my laptop to original modem and place it at the extender location then the speed in 2.4Ghz reaches upto 85-90mbps and on the 5Ghz band reaches upto 190-216mbps.
Now in the second case I connect laptop to extender 2.4Ghz then I get upto 60-70mbps and on the 5Ghz band it ranges from 110-120mbps.
My room is located on first floor 5-10meters from Extender.
I keep the extender switched on 24x7 so sometimes it gets heated during heavy usage(usage of both bands simultaneously).
For setup and admin access I created TP link account and used Tether android app for setup .Apart from that there is also browser option where you can use the address 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.3 or 192.168.1.4 and login using the TP link credentials.
I Prefer this since I use dual band, Would be better if they increase range and introduce features present in TP Link routers.
Also the body is made from medium quality material and the plug point is fragile.
Note: I am using wireless mode however wired to wireless mode is also available
