When too much illusion is not much

Last week I saw a movie Ghanchakkar and I was not satisfied with the outcome if it because I thought the director considered the audience to be a fool who will buy into such cheap robbery movie.

Then yesterday I saw a movie called Trance by the acclaimed director Danny Boyle whom Indians remember for the worse movie he made Slumdog Millionaire.

Trance starts on a similar note of a Robbery but the robbery here is of a painting which is worth millions. The robbery is done and then when you think ok nice the hero forgets where the painting is kept. There ends the similarity with Ghanchakkar and the movie goes into trance where in the main protagonist goes to hypnotist to get the memory out and there follows the mystery the double cross the sleeping with the doctor and the secrets revealed in the end.

If you see it as a story or hear it as one you will feel it’s a good one but when you see the movie at the end you will be like what the hell just happened. I feel there are no words to describe a movie like this because so confused at the end of it that you say let others suffer the same fate as you. I would want others to watch this movie only to see how Danny uses the camera and how he makes you feel confused like is this the reality or that was or this is.

But too much of that is too much actually so watch it because it is illusion of the mind after all.
