Booked cab doesnt arrive.. missed a train

My sincere advice -- Please don’t book cabs on Travel Time. They are nothing but irresponsible bunch of Team who hardly cares about their customers. This is my sad Experience with them which happened on 01 Nov-13. My trip was planned to be from Pimple Saudagar to Pune Railway Station.


This is Chaitanya and I work with an IT firm in Pune. I was a regular user of Travel time till sometime back and I had to move to other services as they have cancelled one trip of my in the last minute. This time I didn’t have any other option so I thought to try with Travel time again.


I had booked for a Cab from Travel time Travels on Thursday -31 Octover 10:30 PM and I got an SMS in the next 10 mins from them confirming my booking.


Following are the details:


Booking for the Day - 01 Nov 2013


Time: 8:45 Am


Booking ID: B000261


The next morning by 8:15 am (Day of travel) I have also been provided with the driver details, etc


Chauffeur: Gaurav Kadam


Chauffeur Number: 9049419193


Cab No-  MH14 BA 4960


By 8:45 am I received a call from the chauffeur that he is on the way and it would take 15 mins to reach my place. It was okay with me as my train was scheduled at 10:15 and I still had enough time to make it to station.


By 9 am I called him and he picked up the call and told me that he was getting late and that he has scheduled another chauffeur to take up my trip and the other chauffeur would call me in the next two minutes.


This time I waited for 5 minutes before I realized that things aren’t going as planned and called up the customer care. They have received the call and assured me that the driver would call me up within 5 minutes.


5 minutes and no progress, and time is running out..I tried calling them the cab driver numerous times and there is no response from him.. he doesn’t answer the call..I tried calling the customer care many time and no response from their end too..


I gave up by 9:30 am and I took an auto to the station and on the way I called the customer care and someone received the call and told the she would talk to the driver !!! It was 9:45 by then!!


Comon man ! at least agree and inform the customer if the trip is cancelled for any reason. And now the sad part.. by the time I went to the station the train had left just minutes ago..


A confirmed train ticket to Vishakapatnam from Pune in Diwali time is wasted.. I don’t know how many realize how difficult is it to get a confirmed ticket during Diwali and my alternate route plans took me more than 2 days to reach home from Pune...All this just because a bunch of irresponsible people..


I know for sure it doesn’t make any difference to them but just wanted to pass this on so that others don’t get the same treatment and inconvenience like me. They never called me to inquire or apologize or did anything to make me feel that they regret the inconvenience caused by them to me..


It’s very common for mistakes to happen but when you don’t look to cleanup then you will not stay in the business for long.
