I've Used Treeloot! **Shudder**

Yes, I have been one of millions that have been lured into the ’’click on a segment of the tree’’ website that tries to keep the unsuspecting user clicking aimlessly through the night. Fortunately I did not spend too much time there. Being Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) really helps in that respect. I bored of this site easily.

The gimmick of the who theme is to collect ’’banana bucks’’ as you clicked on one of a few hundred squares that segmented a large tree. I quickly won several hundred banana bucks, but I never found the grand prize.

When I grew tired of the game, I decided to ’’cash out’’. I was able to select from a marginal range of already free products or services. And they were charging me these ’’banana bucks’’ to buy something that was free and could be obtained by using any search engine on the internet. In fact, many of the offers were rather old.

The site was slow and took forever to reload it seemed. I am on a cable connection, and sites usually load very quickly.

A few months later, I re-visit this site just for fun. Well, the site certainly loads faster; however, that could be due to lack of traffic. Or maybe the reason the site is faster is that they took out all the cute monkey pictures that took time to load with a bland imitation of a monkey. Treeloot’s mascot lost much charm when they reinvented him.

I tried to check out the rewards to see how they had changed, but I could not get in the ’’Reward Hut’’. I would have had to divulge my personal information, and in turn, they would begin to spam me via email again. This site has a terrible habit of that.

I wasted too much time in this site, and I had zero reward. The first time I used this service, I tried to use my earn banana bucks for a magazine. I never received my free magazine. Even after I contacted Treeloot by email, they did not respond. For Customer Service (is there one?), I give them a one star rating (I’d give them zero stars if I could).

This site apparently stays in business by people clicking their sponsor’s banners. However, I am surprised the site is still up because the entertainment value is nearly as low a rating as their Customer Service.
