Not in a million

Trillian is a program I seen a review of on MS and decided to go check it out and download it.

It takes all your chat programs such as icq, msn, yahoo, aol messenger and combines them together.

I was thinking the concept would be great since I have friends on all 4 of these programs and I can’t open them all at once and have 4 separate things running so I eagerly downloaded it and that was easy and fast. It also installed fast.

From there on out it got to be too confusing. It would show me who was online only on each program which was nice but if I wanted to leave a message for some one that was offline I had to close it out and go to the individual program to do it.

The other problem was it did not take my icq list automatically like it did the other chat programs and the numbers had to all be put in manually.

I ran it a few times and was getting totally confused by all the different methods of messaging and so on and trying to keep up with everyone was crazy so I took it off my machine and use each program by itself.

I would recommend it if you can keep up with Trillian but I am usually doing an e-mail chat plus doing reviews at the same time and between 4 chats going with totals over 200 people I simply could not follow it all.

It didn’t freeze up my machine or cause it to lose performance level like it would with each opened as individual programs.

I really can’t say anything bad about it except putting in all the numbers manually so if you don’t have really long lists of chat friends it can be a good program to use. All features work the same way they do in each program by itself.

Give it a try you might enjoy it if your lists are small and you aren’t doing several other things at once.
