Well to begin with we kind’a gave up on harbouring a dream of a ever getting our son enrolled in a quality British Curriculum in INDIA i.e on our return back to Delhi in JUNE 2011 from TRIPOLI, LIBYA [truncated stay owing to a Mr Gadaffi ]! Its not that there was a dire paucity of such like schools but on the contrary every second one boasted of being either a WORLD or INTERNATIONAL school with a heavy emphasis on large campus spread and impressive facade.
However what we were looking or rather seeking was far more qualitative in terms of faculty [INTL / IB certified] and a relative methodology in madness;ultimately its but an administrative nightmare and required a real gung-ho principal!
Most of the folks dither in re-locating whilst picking up JOBS because of the inadvertent uprooting involved and here we decided to move our whole world down South [Delhi to Bangalore] just because of our son’s educational requisites based on a neo schooling facility working in a clockwork cohesion from a mere 4 acreage of campus!
In Tripoli [Libya] we got a ring side view of what a singularly driven individual can do or achieve in his quest for imparting quality English education in a predominantly ARAB WORLD reeling under the whims of DICTATOR whilst operating from a small villa with a motley crew of motivated IB pool teachers. The school was a GEMS franchise that begun its sojourn under the tutelage of a Newzelander, Mr Graheme Pollock and rose to be counted amongst the very best in mere 05 Years!
In Mr Mekeeines we sensed that drive and the intangible yet highly nuanced understanding of a child’s psychology whilst balancing the adminstrative demands with his uncanny acumen!God Bless him! The teaching faculity gravitates around him nicely and the SCHOOL is most definitely set to grow both in terms of addition of an INDOOR GYM & SWIMMING POOL & students.
At least we have not had much time up our sleeves to regret as the mere smiling revert by our son on a day to day basis makes this very hard & a gut-wrenching decision that much more justifiable.so when are you joining us in BANGALORE?
