True caller is a app which many would love and it surely is very useful. Where in the earth did we think that we would get details about the caller when we get a call!
This is a perfect app for people who are are good at ignoring others.
Since the day that I heard about this app I installed it right away. It was fun initially but later it became a pain.
The first negative is that the app ask for permissions to read your contacts and you have to allow them to read it.
Secondly the app slows down the phone and incase if your using a slow android device then your surely in for a big time struggle as after every call or every miscall the app automatically loads which slows down the rest of the processes.
Now coming to the main advantage which helps you to understand who calls you prior picking a call. Whenever you receive a call the app runs in the background as well on the front end. If you have a good data pack meaning 3G then the information would be available instantly but if your using a 2g then the name is not displayed as it can’t fetch data from its database.
You can block people using this app and few more features are available with it.
Considering the negatives I would still prefer installing it and using it. I your using a old laggy device than prefer using the website of true caller incase you aren’t in a hurry to know who the caller is?
Final verdict: Even though the app consumes a lot of ram I would any day install it and use it.
One of the most useful apps in today’s generation.
PS: At times invalid names are fetched. They work on a along where in they fetch data from users initially and save it in their database which when called once the app is provoked when the person receives a call so he might get funny nick names or maybe some other invalid stuffs.
