TULEC-cheats in disguise

TULEC may seem a big name but one has to watch out for the way they gobble your money before you join any course of theirs. It was during my holidays that I read of a crash course in C++ that they were conducting for 10 days, on further enquiry with one of their counsellors(ha! slippery smooth talking eels I call them) I decided to join the course and was forced to pay Rs. 1000/- on the spot claiming it was a seat booking fee (I have heard of booking seats in the railways and buses but this is ludicrous) for the course which would start within a few days.

A few days later when I returned to join the course on the specified date and time I was shocked to hear I had to shell out the entire course fee for the course which had inexplicably got a postponement to ( what they claimed) was the next day. I naturally refused to shell it out and said I would be back the next day at the specified time.

I returned the next day and was told that the course would start only the next week, and was given a computer and told I could use the computer to try out C programming. I had a look at it and the computer was pathetic to say the least. The cabinet would have won a vintage junk piece award, while the keyboard’s faded keys could only be discovered under a layer of grease. I demanded an instant refund of the seat booking fee which was refused (seat booking fees elsewhere are refunded) I walked out and contacted them again a few days later only to be told it wasn’t possible to refund the amount. My further attempts were met by the counsellor requesting me to write a letter to the manager. Not once did the manager come forward to meet me though I used to see a few men peeking through the glass in the door at me while I was made to wait in the reception.

This has gone on for more than a year, I have contacted

a lawyer who said I could win it with interest if I filed a case against them but as a student I won’t have the time to go round courts.

So my advice to you my friends is

DON’T I REPEAT DON’T JOIN TULEC
